Is insurance included?
Yes! All prices quoted on this website have
Full Comprehensive Insurance already included within the daily rate.
But just like your own car insurance there is an
excess. This is the amount you are liable for in case of an accident - Your fault or not.
The good news is that you can
pay an additional daily surcharge to reduce the excess you are liable for.
Avis
Avis has a standard Insurance Excess of $2,362. This can be reduced down to $253 by paying an additional $24.75 per day.
For 4WD, minivans, people movers and station wagons the standard excess is $2812.50 reducable to $253 by paying $28.15 per day. If you are wishing to take this excess reduction option please advise upon collection of the vehicle.
Europcar
Europcar has a standard Insurance Excess of $2,812.50 for their compact 2WD & stamdard 4WD vehicles. This can be reduced down to $337.50 by paying an additional $24.55 per day.
Their Large 4WD vehicles have a standard Excess of $5625 which can be reduced to $112.50 by paying an additional $28.38 per day. If you are wishing to take any of these options please advise upon collection of the vehicle.
Budget
Budget has a standard Insurance Excess of $2,100. This can be reduced down to $170 by paying an additional $25 per day.
For their 4WD vehicles the Excess is $2,500 which can be reduced to $250 by paying an additional $25.00 per day. If you are wishing to take an excess reduction option please advise upon collection of the vehicle.
Hertz
Hertz has Accident Excess Reduction (AER) which reduces the Accident Damage Excess (ADE) from $2,812.50 to $0 by paying an additional $28.12 per day.
For 4WD, Minibus and luxury vehicles there is an Accident Damage Excess (ADE) of $3,375.00. this can be reduced to $0 by paying an Accident Excess Reduction (AER) of $33.75 per day. If you are wishing to take any of these options please advise upon collection of the vehicle.
